Awake after my second nap of the day. I got somewhere between 6 and 8 hours of sleep in total ready for the next shift of #NightShift. Feeling much better than last night, that’s for sure. Hopefully not too much trouble out there overnight to deal with.

Episode 2 of #BlackMirror, Season 7 wasn’t as a downer. But not as close to reality as Episode 1 was, that’s for sure. I’m still recovering from that one.

The new #BlackMirror season is crazy. #Enshittification is real and we aren’t actually that far off that reality that is Episode 1.

Quite disturbing really. I think I need a shrink :D

Alright, I am awake. I don’t feel like I slept long? Guess we will call it half a sleep and do the other half in a few more hours and take a nap before getting up for work?

You know what, I will write myself a weekly recap and publish it to my blog! But first, I must sleep! Stay tuned!

It’s a little hard to plan for the coming week, due to doing #NightShift at work. Makes it difficult to gather the energy to actually do things productively. I know there’s a few friend and family dinners planned which I will tick boxes off there and have some social fun. This is actually one of the reasons I dislike working the #graveyard shift. Throws life way out of wack!

The first shift of #NightShift was hard, but I made it through. Lots of strong #coffee! Will feel it through the day today, but hopefully get some good shut eye before the next one.

I need to do a review on last weeks journaling and see where I have done well and where I can improve. Maybe write a weekly style review or recap like I have seen some other bloggers do.

Having a coffee at 8:30 PM and getting ready for the first night of #NightShift this week. It’s rare I do night shifts, but it has to be done. The first night is always the hardest, breaking your daily routine and sleep cycle. I should have tried to stay up the night prior by watching movies, reading the #fediverse or playing some type of game to start getting into this cycle. Oh well!

Back the the 3 and 6 year old birthdays - fun, but my body clock is saying take a nanna-nap as night shift starts tonight and I haven’t taken extra sleep yet. Better go do that now!

Ok, I got #Obsidian working! I can write freely within my daily journal entry, select the text I wish to publish and hit a shortcut. It will create a new unique note with the extracted text backlinked in my daily journal entry, and then I can directly publish that into my website and #microblog without leaving Obsidian. Fun!

Took the girls to swimming lessons and now playing around with #Obsidian and the #micropost plugin to autopost new thoughts as well as articles to my blog directly from within Obsidian.

This is one such post. Hopefully it posts to the default category I had setup!

Nice article about social media use that @theresmiling@ibe.social wrote. I fell into kind of the same trap moving into the #Fediverse. But now I am going to focus on my #indieweb home and have conversations with people blog to blog through other tools that work with the #ActivityPub protocol.

I still can’t tell if this account is being seen by you guys out there since I moved over from @samuel@social.familylison.com - anyone willing to post a comment/reply so I can confirm it’s getting out to you. I am not posting from my Mastodon Instance but from micro.blog.

I always get a little excited when @shellsharks@shellsharks.social posts his new scrolls. It’s a pleasure to read them. Latest one is up at Shellsharks.com.

The #hike was great fun. The girls had a little challenge due to the heat on the second walk up the mountain on its other side, but they made it through and we had plenty of supplies to stay hydrated and energised.

Off for a #hike to #WerribeeGorge today with the family. It will reach a maximum of 27 Degrees Celsius during the day. Should be a nice time!

Went to watch the new #Minecraft movie with the kids today. Was actually pretty funny to watch and well done. Usual funny acting by #JackBlack.

Caught up with an old friend over lunch with his kids. He got a new job. Very happy for him and can’t wait to hear all about it. Like - how’s the training? How’s the job once you pass the training?
