Finished watching The Social Dilemma. Not sure why I never watched it before or heard of it until today? Definitely opens the mind and reminds me why I removed mainstream social media from my life and #DeGoogled my phone bit by bit, removing one needle at a time of the intravenous drip of the dopamine drugs that are each app on the phone, demanding our attention.

Here are the photos of the PC. The old setup had the large coolermaster fan which was more than 15 years of age now. The new setup is a Corsair iCue CPU Water Cooler Radiator. Still playing around with lighting within linux though.

I watched the #Bandersnatch episode of #BlackMirror in its entirety with each ending. Loved it, highly recommend watching it. Interesting concept. The idea of every single choice we make in life, diverging into another alternate reality that leads to your end, however that end is written to be.

I wrote a whole weekly recap for last week if you would like to read. Other than that, time to get back into the daily routines and back to normal life for a while.
In the recap, I talk about all of last week, including my line of work, #NightShift’s, the new #BlackMirror season, #AISlop and hallucinations and John Carpenter’s 1988 movie, They Live!

Another week gone. Back to normal routine. Need to write up a recap of the week.

Something I have been enjoying about the #Fediverse is the ability to follow domains instead of just social accounts. Some creators have both the domain with news articles and a dedicated social network account on things like #Mastodon. But these tend to sometimes get too much, like #GrapheneOS lately. I can keep updated with actual product news by following their domain, and not get all the other stuff that is not relevant to me.

#NightShift week, done! I can finally get my routine back in order and tick off tasks I am suppose to be doing on a daily basis as per my journaling!

One more shift to go tonight for #NightShift! Looking forward to a good rest and getting back to a “normal” routine. Taking the family to #LakesEntrance at the end of the week for a nice time through some caves, some easy hikes and more.

After seeing this note by @n1ghtw1re@defcon.social:
Put on the glasses. Carpenter's They Live exposed the hidden signals (OBEY, CONSUME) back then. Today, it's algorithms & curated feeds demanding conformity. Our latest Circuit Breach piece decodes why it's an urgent field manual for digital reality. https://circuit-breach.neocities.org/articles/put-on-the-glasses-they-live

Done watching #BlackMirror Season 7, Episode 6 - USS Callister. It was “amazeballs”. Good on them - I enjoyed every episode of this season and Black Mirror did not disappoint. So, um - now back to real life?

Watched Episode 5 of #BlackMirror Season 7. Sad really, actually got a tear out of me. The things we humans do in life and focus on selfish thoughts and don’t blink an eye at or think about what the other persons perspective may be, their emotions and own life experience.
5/6 of the Episodes I have enjoyed greatly. For anyone to think they are not original… not sure what their perspective is on that. Wouldn’t mind knowing!

So I was reading this today about Blogging for attention:
I want people to read what I write here. I want (hope) to be a familiar face in feed readers. I want to be linked to. The internet is a network and I want to be part of it.
I think every blogger goes through this. Webmentions are handy, but now there are ActivityPub integrations that work well and allow your thoughts to be read by followers on the #fediverse directly. #IndieMicroblogging is real.

Finally had a full straight #sleep for #NightShift instead of breaking my sleep into 2 sections. Getting use to the routine, but it took half a week, and there’s only half to go. Then I go back to normal shifts and have to reset the #bodyclock all over again.

I couldn’t resist #BlackMirror also watched Episode 4 of Season 7. Interesting to see the new technologies my form of work might get access to in the future. But also interesting the topics touched, #LSD, the language of sounds and light. The world outside of this physical realm we see with our two physical eyes. Isn’t that why a lot of coders in silicon valley are into the #microdosing these days? The world of #fungi is an interesting one. Streaming direct from the #muse.

I’ve been using #AI a lot to assist with problems and have come across a problem I am seeing pop up with all #LLM’s lately.
I feel that they are getting dumber and more susceptible to #hallucinations. I’ve been put into hours worth of rabbit holes for a potential solution to a problem only to argu with the LLM about the information it is providing being misinformation and completely made up.
AI is learning from AI generated slop all over the internet and it is having an effect.

I’m up and feeling great today ready for the next shift. Still need another nanna nap before actually getting ready for work and #NightShift again, but body clock is getting into the rhythm of it all now.
